Bao directs growth strategies for long–term client value at Seer Strategic Solutions, LLC. After a considerable career cultivating enterprise C-level relationships in Fortune 1000 companies for the staffing industry, Bao shifted to a strategic role to leverage his global network of talent and partners concentrated in manufacturing, telephony, finance, insurance, and consumer products.
After earning a business management degree from the University of Phoenix, Bao leapt into the recruiting field, where he found a passion for coaching IT professionals on productivity and career development. After creating best practices and training programs for job seekers over several years, Bao built a global network of talent that has translated to nearly 17,000 LinkedIn followers.
In 2013, Bao accepted a position as a national account director with Aquent, where he provided staffing solutions for targeted marketing, creative, and digital design to the automotive industry. By leveraging his existing relationships, Bao developed an underperforming account for a newly established manufacturer from $0 in revenue to $1.8M in 16 months. Working with a referral partner, he acquired and built a strong partnership with a large automotive manufacturer to revenue of $1.2M in 18 months.
Bao moved in 2017 to head talent acquisition for Genius Sports Group, one of the world’s largest sports technology companies. He swiftly became a process improvement champion and built a centralized executive search function from scratch, which allowed him to hire and mentor a team of twelve professionals worldwide that would meet and exceed their monthly performance goals.
In 2019, Bao became the head of strategic partnerships for Just Insure, an insurtech carrier. There he built and cultivated relationships with 48 used car dealers to refer them 1,000 new customer policies monthly. Bao also established and nurtured partnerships with community college districts in Arizona to drive brand awareness and refer 500 new customers per month.
Since 2009, Bao has had a longstanding relationship with Sheila Volante, Seer’s Managing Partner. When the opportunity finally appeared in 2023 for them to work together, Bao joined the Seer team to build a sales organization founded on transparency, trust, and doing the right thing.
Bao lives in Thousand Oaks, California, with his wife, teenage son, and a super fluffy Goldendoodle.
