Lydia Marquez

Senior Consultant III

Lydia develops strategic programs that build long-term value for the clients of Seer Strategic Solutions, LLC. Before joining the firm, she managed global projects for IT infrastructure, system migrations, and enterprise transformation. Lydia is certified in ITIL v3 Foundation and specializes in business analysis and process improvement.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in business management from University of Nevada Las Vegas, Lydia leapt into the front lines of IT services – first as a telecommunications operator, next as a lead for service desk, and then as a supervisor of desktop technicians.

In 2008, Lydia joined the Las Vegas Sands as a business analyst, documenting requirements and specifications for the openings of the Sands Bethlehem Hotel & Casino in Pennsylvania and the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Four years later, Lydia’s leadership promoted her to project manager, where she led projects to install Wi-Fi across all Sands properties and successfully migrate 5,000+ accounts for an upgrade to Office 2010.

At the Sands, she honed the skills for taking projects from their original concepts through final implementation – on time and under budget. As testament to these skills, Lydia rescued a failing $7M global project, turned it around, and delivered it within its original budget.

In 2016, Lydia left the Sands for Caesars Entertainment, taking on the mantle of senior project manager for an enterprise-wide transformational project – one she shepherded from discovery through development, balancing the relationships with three vendors.

At this point in her career, Lydia began to mentor and develop others, taking two new PMs under her wings and guiding them through the Caesars project management process. Here too she met Sheila Volante and developed a co-mentoring relationship that persists today.

In 2018, Lydia returned to the Las Vegas Sands as a senior project manager. Her analysis experience at the Sands Bethlehem Hotel & Casino made her the perfect candidate to separate and standup its IT systems, which enabled a $1.3B divestiture. She returned to mentoring PMs and business analysts, where she also found opportunities to document, analyze, and enhance project management and IT processes.

In 2020, Lydia moved to Infor, where she successfully migrated a global company’s financial system to complete a company merger. Ever the process analyst, Lydia led subcommittees for project management and process improvement, and she continued to mentor fellow project managers and improve shared documentation.

Lydia lives in Las Vegas with her family, where she enjoys reading, binging on streaming series, travelling, and building large Lego sets. Lydia has a passion for helping underserved communities and volunteers for the Three Square Food Bank and the Miracle League of Las Vegas.
